Eureka-Bowdle avenged its loss in the YTC title game with a 60-57 win over Herreid-Selby Area in Eureka on Friday.
Herreid-Selby Area had the upper hand in the first half. The Wolverines led 18-11 after the first quarter before the Patriots cut the lead to two at the half. Eureka-Bowdle took the lead with a 13-8 run in the third quarter before staving off the Wolverines over the final eight minutes.
Adam Weiszhaar led Eureka-Bowdle with 20 points, including 14 in the second half, while grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds. Jordan Jacobs added 19 points and iced the win with a pair of free throws in the final seconds. Clay Osterday added 10 points.
Brady Vander Vorst popped five three-pointers and led the Wolverines with 15 points. Nick Larson scored 12 points and grabbed six boards. Cooper Schaefbauer added six points.
